Q: How do I book a portrait session?
A: To book a portrait session, please fill out the contact form on our website or send an email to frankmichaelphotos@gmail.com. We'll respond within 24-48 hours to schedule a consultation call to discuss your vision and needs, and we'll work together to find a date and time that works best for you.
Q: What should I wear to my portrait session?
A: We recommend wearing clothing that you feel comfortable and confident in. Choose clothing that is flattering and fits well, and consider the location and style of the session. If you're unsure, we're happy to provide suggestions and guidance on what to wear.
Q: Can I bring props to my session?
A: Yes, you're welcome to bring props to your session! We encourage you to bring items that have personal significance or help tell your story. However, we recommend discussing this with us beforehand so we can make sure the props are appropriate for the session and location.
Q: How long does a portrait session typically last?
A: Portrait sessions typically last between 60-90 minutes, depending on the session type and location.
Q: Do you travel for photoshoots?
A: We LOVE to travel!Any location within 30 miles of our studio are included with your session fee.Any travel outside of this radius will incur an additional fee.
Q: What areas do you photograph in?
A: We are based in Hartford, CT, but we are happy to travel to other locations within Connecticut and beyond. Some of our most popular shooting locations include parks, gardens, and urban areas, but we are always open to exploring new locations and ideas with our clients. We strive to create a unique and personalized experience for each client and location plays an important role in that process.
Q: When will I receive my images?
A: We aim to deliver your images within 2-3 weeks of your portrait session. However, this may vary depending on the number of images and the editing required.
Q: Do you offer digital files or prints?
A: Yes, we offer both digital files and prints. We believe that having tangible prints is important and recommend having a combination of both digital files and prints. We offer a variety of print sizes and products to choose from.
Q: How many images will we receive?Do we receive the raw (unedited) files?
This all depends on the package you choose along with any add-ons.Our goal is to capture your moment in the most perfect way possible.We strive for quality over quantity.We do not provide any raw files from your session.
Q: What happens if I need to reschedule my session?
A: We understand that unexpected events can happen. If you need to reschedule your session, please let us know as soon as possible so we can find a new date and time that works for both parties.
Q: Do you offer retouching services?
A: Yes, we offer basic retouching services to ensure that your images look their best. We'll remove any blemishes or distractions, and adjust the exposure and color as needed. If you require additional retouching services, such as extensive Photoshop work, there may be an additional fee.
Q: What happens if it rains on the day of my outdoor session?
A: In the event of inclement weather, we'll work with you to reschedule the session to a new date and time that works for both parties. We'll keep a close eye on the weather leading up to the session and will communicate any changes with you as soon as possible.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We require a non-refundable retainer fee to secure your portrait session date and time. If you need to cancel your session, please let us know as soon as possible. The retainer fee can be applied to a rescheduled session within 30 days of the original session date. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the session or do not show up, the retainer fee is forfeited.
Q: How much are portrait sessions?
A: Our customized portrait sessions start at $350, which includes up to 90 minutes of shooting time, an online gallery of edited images, and an ordering appointment with the option to purchase prints and digital files. Print/digital packages start at $229. We also offer a variety of session add-ons and products to choose from. Please contact us for more detailed pricing information.
Q: What’s in your camera bag?
A: I shoot with Canon.I use a full frame Canon 5D Mark III camera body along with all Canon lenses.My favorite lens for portraits is my Canon 70-200 f2.8 is III.This helps me achieve that dreamy background while getting you crystal clear in the image.
