I had the pleasure of shooting Greg and his parents at Jake's Place park in Cherry Hill, New Jersey this past weekend. I have never done a photoshoot here before but I have visited the park many times and knew there would be many different places to capture some family portraits. It was a beautiful sunny day and the weather was perfect. I arrived early and scouted out some places that I thought would be perfect for Greg. There were children running all over the place and a whole slew of tired looking parents chasing them around. Maureen, Christopher, and their son Greg arrived and I instantly knew it was going to be a fun shoot! My detailed plan was quickly brushed aside as I ran around the playground snapping pictures of Greg. Boy did he have A LOT of ENERGY! Luckily I had a large Dunkin Donut coffee before I got there so I was ready to crawl, dodge, duck, and roll around the ground in order to capture the perfect shot. We explored the playground, crawled in and out of some cool holes, took a walk and smelled some flowers (Greg's face was priceless! He was very serious about getting the perfect angle to smell each one), walked along some trails and hung out under a tree in a nice shaded area of the park. By the time we were done, I was covered in mulch and had gum smeared all over my shorts so I knew it had been a good session!
