A Walk Through the Sunflowers at Holland Ridge Farm

I had the pleasure of meeting Madison at Holland Ridge Farm last week for a fun photoshoot in fields of sunflowers. Madison is currently a senior in high school and wanted photos that were more representative of herself rather than the typical high school picture in front of the backdrop with the fake forest on it.
It was a beautiful night and we had the entire farm to ourselves (mostly). There was quite an interesting photoshoot going on next to us but it did not stop us from getting some incredible pictures. Madison was awesome to work with. We went from a shed full of old farming equipment to the fields of sunflowers. She put up with me every time I wanted to stop along the way to grab a picture in an interesting spot. While we eventually made it to the fields (of course they were in the back of the farm) we took some nice shots in front of a weathered barn, some old tractor tires, wooden fences, and other little nooks around Holland Ridge.
The night wrapped up with us sitting in the sunflower fields, laughing, and making memories that I hope she will never forget (I know I won't)! As a photographer in South Jersey, it's always interesting to stumble across places you have never heard of and discover some amazing jewels to photograph at. I know I will be back in the spring when the farm goes from sunflowers to tulips!
